Keamo offered me an opportunity to create a room of Flowaura - from prints to home wear and clothing.
What an exciting experience. First exposition of the year and also the biggest one I've ever done.

First thing in the morning, my partner and I got ready to pick up the car we rented for the day. Now, this event is in Utrecht and we live in Amsterdam... We had a 30 minute ride and then set up.

We got there just in time.
It was a long time since I had a market or planned an event, thus I underestimated the time to set up.
The vision of atmosphere and decor was "jungly". Prints were going to "float", misters were going to create a sensation of a tropical environment. I wanted to bring a summer feeling into the room.
After almost two and a half hours of setting up, the doors were opened!

When I first saw the room, it had different areas: a blue rug with two sofas by the entry, a wooden table with wheels, a red wall area with folding red theatre chairs. So I used the colours of the space to match it with the colours of my art and deco pieces.

Right when you enter the room - matching the blue rug - we had pillows on the sofas and hanging prints that were moody and had blue elements. Also, they never have been seen before!

Along the room, there was a clothing rack with Blooming Collection pieces glowing. Next to some newly printed smaller prints. New A5s and A6. Taken from the same designs we have currently available. And also some of my old works that I brought back to life.

The area in the middle room was the main space were square and standard sized prints were showcasing. Additionally some framed works, bookmarks and extra pillow covers. Ah, also newly handmade tea towels!
These are made from 100% organic cotton twill, available in three colours (orange, pink and green) and will only be available in markets and expos.

Lastly, the red area at the end of the room was the perfect spot to finish the exposition. I imagined a living room area, two friends just finished having dessert, sharing their last bit of wine. They decided to play a game. For me, one of the most intimate ways to get to know your loved ones.
Here I shared some of the handmade pouches I made in the last months.

This was a beautiful experience - I loved putting my colourful soul into the room. Envisioning how people would decorate their home with my products is one the reasons why I create and share my art with others. I love bringing colour and personality into people's daily rituals.
